Annie Lennox

Annie Lennox was born in Aberdeen Scotland on December 25 1954. Dorothy Farquharson, and Thomas Allison Lennox were her parents. Lennox attended Lennox's Royal Academy of Music, London during the 1970s. She studied the harpsichord and flute for 3 full years. Lennox made it through on a student allowance as well as part-time jobs in order to earn a living. In the Royal Academy Lennox was dissatisfied by her performance when compared with her peers and she pondered what alternative direction she would take. Lennox performed flute in the band Dragons Playground. The band did not get to compete in the competition for talent New Faces on I.T.V. She was the main voice from The Tourists a British pop group between 1977 and 1980. That was also where she got to know Dave Stewart with whom she formed Pop duo Eurythmics. Lennox started working on her debut solo album Diva that was out around 1992. It was a massive success both commercially and critically. Nostalgia Lennoxs sixth solo album was released in October of 2014. This C.D. Lennox has picked her most favored blues as well as soul and jazz tracks. Lepidoptera is a collection of four original tracks for piano, which Lennox released in May, 2019. The E.P. is an accompanying piece to her exhibit at The Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art called"Now I'll Let You Go... This is her first independently released album.
